Take Up Champions

The Take Up Champions course invites local people to take part in a 12-week programme which presents information on benefits, support, local organisations, services and resources for older people.

It is a twelve-session programme that enables local people to support each other and provides participants with relevant information to help older people in their community. The aims are to increases the take up of benefits and services by older people and generally improve their quality of life.

By the end of the programme we hope that the participants feel more confident when approaching or signposting friends or family members to organisations that can provide support and financial assistance for the older people in their communities.

The programme is open to anyone aged 18 or over living in Beswick, Bradford, Clayton, Gorton, Miles Platting, Newton Heath, Ancoats or Openshaw.
