Are you on a low income? Would you like help or information about applying for benefits? Are you a carer who might be entitled to financial help?

Wigan Borough Care & Repair can give you information, advice and guidance about welfare benefits, and about making applications for benefits, to which you are entitled but not claiming. We can visit you in your own home and even help with form-filling. (Or point you in the right direction so that you can apply yourself.)

Our service is confidential and discreet and may result in you gaining more money and increasing your income. We can give you information about Community Care Grants, Pension Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Council Tax  and Housing Benefit.

We can also provide information on potential funding for your home repairs, and help you make applications, such as loans, charitable funding or grants which may be available.
