BIG Lottery Transition Fund

Manchester Care & Repair has heard today that we have been awarded £129,000 by the BIG Lottery Transition Fund.

MC&R plans to develop a sustainable business as a trading arm, a volunteer network and further develop our fundraising and corporate funding strategy. These will give increased resilience and greater variety to our ongoing work to keep older and disabled people in control of their independence at home.

Chief Exec Maggie Walker said

“We are delighted that we are one of the voluntary organisations that have been chosen for this investment in our future.

These are very challenging times. We have faced nearly 50% cuts in our funding from Manchester City Council and our team have worked very hard to make sure that our services continue for the many people who rely on them.”
