Manchester Evening News WISH Campaign 2012 – The results are in!

The results are in and we have been awarded £204.27 from the £25,000 Wish12 fund. We collected 8468 tokens and out of 207 groups, we were placed 42nd.

Charities and community groups in Greater Manchester were asked to compete to see how many tokens they could collect from the general public. The size of the cheque depended on the number of tokens collected for them by Manchester Evening News readers.

The leading group was Animals In Distress, who collected 29,940 tokens to receive £722.24.

Everyone at Care & Repair would like to thank all our supporters who have collected tokens on our behalf during the campaign. The money we have received will go towards our Special Fund for those who cannot afford to pay for repairs. This ensures we don’t have to turn anyone away who is in desperate need.

Would you like to donate to the Special Fund and help improve an older person’s life today? You can donate online. Or contact us on 0161 872 5500 for a donation form.
