Silverlinks Session a Success

Manchester Care & Repair held its first ‘Silverlinks’ citywide information session on Wednesday – a resounding success! Project Development Officer Karen Kennedy presented the information to 34 attendees within the illustrious surroundings of the National Football Museum in Manchester.

Silverlinks is looking at ways to support older people when they’re facing tough decisions about their housing and care for future life. The purpose of the session was to inform and equip older people with the knowledge they need to be able to understand the issues which may affect their housing choices and be able to offer a helping hand to others in need of advice.

Feedback from those attending was hugely positive:

  • “Much information imparted with many aspects covered. I hope I will be able to share locally.”
  • “Very informative and helpful. Made easy to understand.”
  • “We were given more options than we’d have thought possible! Very useful, I’ll pass it on.”

Manchester Care & Repair will be running more of these events in the near future. If you would be interested in attending please contact Karen Kennedy on 0161 872 5500.
