Caseworker – Wigan (Ref CW1)

Salary: £12,815 – £14,054 PA, dependent on experience
This post is part time – 22.5 hours per week, (3 days per week)
Contributory pension scheme and health care plan

The purpose of the role of caseworker is to maximise clients’ income by providing high quality information, advice and support related to welfare benefit claims. The home visiting caseworker service aims to provide assistance and support to clients in accessing a range of local services which support wellbeing and independence.

KEY PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS:

  • Maintains an up to date and extensive knowledge of the welfare benefits system and application processes
  • Maintains a clear understanding of options for clients.
  • Supports clients’ independence appropriately.
  • Effective prioritisation and progress of caseload
  • Good teamwork

A full driving licence and a vehicle are essential and a DBS check is required.

BANK STAFF REQUIRED!!
Discharge Support Assistants
£10.54 per hour (includes 15% shift allowance)

We are currently recruiting for bank staff to support our existing home from hospital service based at North Manchester General Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary. The service operates 365 days a year with current staff working a shift pattern of 4 days on followed by 4 days off 12 noon – 8.30 pm Mon-Fri, 9am-5.30pm weekends and bank holidays.  As a member of the bank staff team you will provide cover for planned absence e.g. annual leave

Working at all times as a pair and using our company vehicle, you will escort patients home safely and undertake basic tasks such as shopping for essentials and ensuring their home is warm and comfortable. This service seeks to improve older/vulnerable patients’ experience of discharge from hospital and prevent unnecessary readmission. Full induction and ongoing training will be provided.

Possession of a full driving licence is essential.  A DBS check will also be required.
