Home from Hospital Admin Assistant

  • Temporary 3-month fixed term
  • Salary £11,949 per annum
  • (22.5 hours per week – Tuesday to Thursday)

Primary purpose of this role is to make follow up telephone calls to older Manchester residents after their discharge from hospital after an in-patient stay or A&E attendance. Calls are made from within the hospital site at North Manchester General, Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Outcome of follow up calls requires the collection and inputting of data along with monitoring information in line with strict guidance regarding data protection and confidentiality.

Critical to the success of this role will be:-

  • Time management and organisational skills to ensure all follow up calls are made in accordance with specified timescales
  • Patient and clear handling of clients’ enquiries
  • Generating referrals from telephone calls to patients / clients
  • Maintaining effective day-to-day running of office admin systems and databases
  • Accurate work
  • Good team-work with colleagues
  • Good organisational skills
